Church Event: Church Anniversary@11th
Our church Molino Baptist Church in Salawag celebrated the 11th year Anniversary at Avida Sta. Cecilia Club House last 18th of September 2016, this is a combine effort of all the church members. From decorations, food servers, transfer of equipment from church to clubhouse and back, food service, clean up committee and program.
Starting from Saturday night, my husband together with the church young people, slept overnight in the church to prepare everything to bring and they practiced for the presentation come the program proper, as early as 6AM they started transferring the equipment and being the OC that I am, I am the one responsible listing all the things to bring and as well as the timeline to target the goal they need to complete all the preparation.
The program started on time, while members keep arriving and each family brought their assigned food, by the way our family decided to preapare the sweet treats corner, where we serve unlimited cookies, pretzels, nips, gummy candies for kids and adults, it was a hit and everyone enjoyed it for all ages! All food was cooked deliciously, we had Pancit Bihon and Palabok in Bilao, Bico, Chicken Pastel, Hotdog in Marshmallow sticks, Lechon Manok, Aftrida, Dinuguan and Puto, Grilled Bangus, Vegetable Salad, Macaroni Salad and Gelatin, so definitely it was a blast.
It started with opening prayer, then sing praise for the Lord. My husband prepared a video presentation for all the activities that the church accomplished for the year 2015 - 2016.
The all girls young people sang, followed by the intermediate they had their cute and meaningful presentation. There were skit from adults and mime presentation from young people. They all worked hard and practiced for it for about 1 and half month every weekends. All their presentation were according to our theme.
Our Pastor Joel Corroz had his short exhortation also in accordance of our theme, and we surely learn a lot and our spirits are spirits are fed fruitfully.
We had our lunch all other mothers were assigned in the food and clean up committee, food served are more than enough to the members and we even managed to have a take out,
After lunch, we just rest for a while and there were games played by everyone.
Before the anniversary program has been completed we ended it up by closing prayer then eat again, and our church members mandatory group picture!
We surely had a blast and as early as now we are now planning for the upcoming Family Sunday celebration this coming December!!
God Bless!
