Tagaytay Day Trip

Last, 18th of February, hubby and I decided to visit Tagaytay again for a more relax weekend with our kids. We left our house at around 11:00AM, as we took the shorter route, by passing thru the village of The Islands where they allow private vehicles to pass starting at around 7AM to 5PM so at about 12:00NN just in time for lunch we arrived Tagaytay proper.

We had our lunch at Tagaytay Don Juan Resto and Gimmik bar, that time there were no loud music and band, few customers were enjoying their lunch so instead of heading to Mahogany Market we opted to have our lunch at Don Juan (Formerly Don Juan Tamad due to Tagaytay is a City of Character so they eliminated the word "Tamad", just so you know...hehe), mostly they offered Exotic food, which we are not up to, so we ordered the usual lunch meal - Pork sisig, Lechon Kawali with bulalo soup and 4cup of rice. That's simple meal was full packed except for the Lechon Kawali which costs 240p for a bit small serving for the price, which by the way we informed the owner about our feedback and told us that he will do something about it...all in all our lunch costs 490p, it was not that bad at all.

Pork Sisig, Lechon Kawali

We headed to People's Park Palace in the Sky, entrance fee is now at 30p/per head while my 4yr old daughter is still free. We enjoyed running around there, played bubbles my kids are popping it, while my hubby is doing his henna tattoo for 120p standard size. Then I read book while my kids are playing around.

Then we went to Mushroom burger to eat our merienda while my youngest enjoyed playing in the playground. We transferred to Uno Mall Tagaytay to buy some stuffs which is mostly much cheaper there compared to the prices at themalls.

We went home, the day was well spent. Our family had a great time together and enjoyed every bit of our bonding!!

  5. Thanks for visiting DON JUAN (Ihaw-Ihaw)or DON JUAN TAMAD Restaurant & Sports Bar in Tagaytay City. See, http://www.donjuantamad.co.cc. At Don Juan, we strive to serve you better, and value your dining and "gimmik" experience the most. Since your visit, TV 5's Chef Jeremy (Take-Out)did hang-out with us, and features Don Juan in his show/s. We are also being featured in Channel 23's Generation Rx, to be aired on September 08, 2012. And thanks to Super Bratinella, we enlarged the portion of one of our best-sellers - "Lechong-Kawali." Yet still, for Tagaytay's BEST BULALO at Php 220 (Good for 2-3 persons) and Php 80 per sizzling-plate sisig, or "Lucky 7" San Miguel Beer Buckets at Php 249 per Bucket of 7 Beers with FREE SISIG . . . I'd say, DON JUAN is a MUST TRY and "a hard-act to beat" when in Tagaytay. Don Juan also prides itself to be the First or Original and The-One-and-Only "Exotics Restaurant and Sports Bar" in Tagaytay City, located on Aguinaldo Highway corner Magallanes Drive (just across the famed "One Destination"). We operate 24/7, and you may call us anytime - Manager Direct +63-(0)9164404949/ Restaurant Landline +63 - (046)682-0436.
