Ilocos Vacay (2011)

Our Ilocos, Laoag company outing was I think the most boring one, but since it is free then I still enjoyed every minute of the vacation, who am I to complain?

1st Day, for some going to Laoag is by land, but for our boss who really values time and generous, we went there via Cebu Pac Airlines at 9:50 AM we left Manila, making our travel time shortened to almost just 1 1/2 hour..amazing!!!

When we arrived Laoag Airport there was a shuttle waiting for us to transfer us to Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel where we stayed for 2nights and 3 days.

We had our lunch, it was not that satisfying since we already had the best(Shangri-La) but as I said who am I to complain when it's free. Then in the afternoon we had our team building as they called it as :Amazing Race this is because Fort Ilocandia is a really big place and there are different kinds of activities to enjoy (which are not my trip).

We had our dinner, it should be by the pool but since it was raining so we end up having our dinner in one of their function rooms.

2nd day, we had our breakfast and need to go back to our Hotel room to get ready for our City Tour, we went to historic places :

Malacanang of the North
Paoay Church
Batac Musuem
Museo Ilocos
Sinking Bell Tower
Tobacco Monopoly
St. Williams Cathedral
Loag Market

I tried the Laoag Empanada, and I am missing it. Then we transfer back to the hotel get ready for lunch (nothing to brag about since it was just the same menu the 1st day).

The hotel was already quiet and they turn off the lights making the place so solemn but my colleagues are not after that, they want to make some noise, so there were groups who drank in their respective hotel rooms just like we did.

3rd day, before eating breakfast, we then prepared our things all packed up since after breakfast we are ready to be transferred to the airport bound Manila.

Overall experience, it was a bit boring, it will all depend to you on how you will enjoy the whole trip, food in the plaza was all affordable and oh so yummy. Have tried bagnet, and it was good. We were not able to go to the beach since the waves are really sky high, very dangerous. I am still grateful I was able to visit the place and the experience are worth sharing.
