Mommy Duties :Buwan ng Wika

My middle child who is currently on her 4th Grade held their Buwan ng Wika this August, their costumes is a bit complicated since their adviser asked them to be uniform and the color they chose was apple green as  their saya and Kimona (Kimona is a transluscent often embroidered blouse with extended sleeves worn over an inner garment) for their top.  I just bought a Kimona in a mall, two weeks before their presentation and her saya (traditional skirt in Philippines) have to be done by a sewer, so I bought a garment colored apple green and let my ever so sweet and loving mom in law do the sewing, out of love. Last minute changes with their attire needs to have a purple accent and my house angel to the rescue who stapled a crepe paper around the saya.

Their dance presentation takes the cake, it was so funny all the audience was about to really get bored, and when they did their presentation everybody was just laughing and  the essence of the Filipino tradition dance is still there, so they won the Best Presentation against all other level (Grade 1 to Junior High).

Special Thanks to their Adviser who taught them and as one way saying thank you, I cooked pancit bihon for the teachers who helped them out!

Mabuhay!
